I had to make clean OS install after that, and install the older Nvidia drivers to get it to work. Have you tried this? permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]johnh275 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago(1 child)update - after another week of 3-4 BSOD per day i disabled the Nvidea driver and just use the Intel HD Graphics one instead. My best guess is that the northbridge chip on my motherboard was frequently too hot from playing D3 that it either fried or simply lost an effective solder connection. Reply to ronjouch JamesjaffaAug 9, 2015, 11:35 AM right, i've used ddc (display driver uninstaller) to completely remove the latest driver 353.62 and I've then installed another old version (341.44) - forgot to turn off Auto-Update - hmpf!
- Where did you find the driver?

- This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
Pretty sure it's related to drivers. It will not recover from this issue so I have to manually reboot the PC. Where did you find the driver? And tried all the online suggestions.
Before my entire OS would lock up (just video, audio still playing properly) for about 10-20 seconds before unlocking and showing the error message. I thought power might have been the issue so I bought the SuperNOVA 1000 T2 Titanium EVGA power supply... permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]Schnappi07 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago(2 children)Did you test 358.91 ? http://newwikipost.org/topic/ocv6iJskBfcehxo82GX53jUmPqrhL5Zx/Black-screen-while-playing-Diablo-3-no-BSOD-Hard-reset-required.html Maybe MS have introduced a new feature that the nvidia driver doesn't properly use.
I used DDU to do a completely clean install and I disabled my overclock but I still get them. upgraded all hardware, ram, video card, re-seated all cables, PSU. What gives...? Nothing worked, that is till I installed drivers from over a year ago, Ge-force 341.44 I believe.
Safe mode reboot for clean uninstall. have a peek at this web-site I suppose when W10 installed it got the latest drivers which I would assume that they would work better for my system, WRONG. What kind of motherboard/CPU do you have? I've tried several different driver versions using clean installations since 352.63 and I'm currently using 355.98, but it's still happening just not as much.
I've tried installing older versions and the newest version(s) and I have tried letting GeForce Experience update the drivers for me. weblink Which actually made it worse. It came to the point where it would crash just 5 seconds after the Windows starts... permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]johnh275 3 points4 points5 points 11 months ago(2 children)I have been having issues for around 3 weeks now.
permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]Oniakuma2126 1 point2 points3 points 11 months ago(0 children)Same issue here. The problem always occurs during games, the monitor will flash to a blue/black/solid color screen, you can hear the driver fail, and then it will restart or require a hard boot Using a 980 on Win 10 x64. navigate here and they have not fixed it I believe.
I'm thinking maybe Windows 10 has enough built in drivers to handle what the nvida drivers/programs do.
