os is win7 x64. I find it very hard to find these drives with hard coded sleep modes; often it is not mentioned in the description. I've changed a lot of things since I started this thread: new motherboard, re-installed Win7, and new boot drive.Have you tried different SATA drivers? Good luck in any case.

I have no complaints during active editing, but it sometimes takes 10-15 seconds for the hard drives to engage and for Avid to respond. Installation & Setup Secondary hard drive causing freezing issues/lock upsHi guys, A couple of months ago I built a new system and made the jump to Windows 8. Intel Rapid Storage Technology I haven't tried the hotfix, since I don't get BSOD, but I may give it a go later today (For some reason the hotfix request system is down right now). If I enter S3 and then immediately wake the system the HDD is still there.
The turnaround is not too quick though, as if I wake it from sleep immediately then the drive is still there.
