Im led to believe possibly a windows update could be causing this issue, but i havent the slightest clue which one it is I attempted a system restore several times, but you could try here

See if you get errors. Appreciate you coming back to me on that one ahnilated. I do have an other SATA drive lying around (i have no clue where it came from xD) but i do not believe it works. CoD works fine in single player and BF3 plays perfectly.
I would have loved to test another HDD, but the drive in this pc is a SATA drive. One last thing to try, UNINSTALL COH (save the updates) and see what happens.
